An idea that blossoned in Mr Owen Brady's fertile brain has
won him £150 --the prize for a contribution to the firms

Inspiration came to Mr Brady, of Pembroke Croft Hall Green,
When employees where asked to think of a way of publicising
the firm, Lucas Industries.
What better way than to give the firm's name to a new flower'?
The firm put the idea to Dorride Chrysanthemum Specialist
H.Woolmans Ltd,and the result was LUCAS AMBER, a bronze
bloom
The company's head groundsman, Mr. Jim Wheeler, and
members of the Lucas horticultural Society collected and shared
the first Cuttings
