Bert Pickering, was a popular member of the BW5 comninity.
He was the line Foreman, Union Representative, (A.S.T.M.S)
for many years prior to his retirement. He was well known for his  
good humour and passionate support of Aston Villa, and his patronage
of The Springfield Social Club, where many retirement parties took place.
