Achievement
Mary Humphries joined the company in 1974 as a
operator,on the Comm Section.
Later appying for a place on the setters course, which
was held at the training school GKS, she passed with
flying colours, and moved to Cranmore Boulevard as a
setter on the power presses.
To gain more expirence she enrolled on Evening classes
at Garretts Green College to study Merchanical Enginering,
for a year, which was followed by Qualification of NEBSS
Certificate at Hall Green College, This was a two year course.
Mary went on to enrol in a Production Control Course, not an
easy couse so I'm told
Mary was the first woman Setter and proved there is a place
for women in most roles
